How Do I Add a New Phone Number in Communication Settings?
The Communication Settings section lets you manage all phone communications for your company. Here, you can register business phone numbers, set up call forwarding, and make calls directly from the Communication tab. This allows incoming calls to be forwarded to multiple team members while keeping personal numbers private. It also lets your team make outbound calls through Albi, keeping all communication professional and centralized.
How to Add a Phone Number
- Go to Settings → Communications.
- On the right-hand side of the Communications tab, click the Add Number button.

3. A form will open. The bolded fields are required to proceed.

4. Fill in the form:

- Label – Enter a name for the phone line (e.g., “Marketing Line”, “Office Support”).
- Type – Choose between Individual or Marketing (see below for details).
- Staff Assignee – Required: select the staff member who will be assigned this number.
- Number Type – Select either a local number ($3.00/month) or a toll-free number ($6.00/month). Choose from the available generated numbers presented.

- Rings Before Forwarding – Set how many rings occur before the call is forwarded to the designated number(s).
5. After filling out the form, click Save to create the phone number.
Individual vs. Marketing:
- Individual: A number assigned to a specific person or role, typically for one-on-one communication.
- Marketing: A number used for campaigns, general inquiries, or broad outreach, which can forward calls to multiple staff members.
📝 Note:
- Make sure you select the correct number type and forwarding settings before saving, and double-check that you’ve entered the correct number.
3. For the calling feature to work properly in Albi, certain browser permissions must be set to Allow. Make sure the following settings are enabled in your browser:
- Microphone
- Notifications
- Pop-ups and redirects
- Sound
If any of these are blocked, calls may not connect, record, or function as expected.
