Albi Pay Check Deposits – How It Works
How Check Deposits Work
With Check Deposits, you can submit insurance checks digitally instead of mailing or depositing them in person.
The process:
- Capture images of the front and back of the check (mobile or web)
- Send digital signature requests to any additional payees
- Submit the check for processing
- Funds are deposited into your connected bank account
Limitations
Mortgage Lender Checks (Not Supported)
Checks that include a mortgage lender as a payee cannot be processed digitally at this time.
Mortgage lenders must physically endorse checks, and there is currently no reliable way to collect their signature electronically. This is an industry-wide limitation.
Insufficient Funds
If the check writer has insufficient funds, the check will fail and will not be deposited.
Processing Timeline
- Check processing time: 3 - 6 business days
This time allows checks to be verified and protects against fraud or returned payments. Processing time cannot be expedited.
Transaction Limits
- Maximum check amount: $100,000 per check
Failed Check Deposits
If a check cannot be processed:
- The check status will show “Failed” in Check Reports
- An automated email will be sent to your company explaining the failure reason and return code
